Sunday Edition, vol. 4
Giant strawberries, butter bows, and an artist-made free drawing prompt generator
The Sunday Edition is a bi-monthly column of 10 things I’m enjoying and inspired by.
Honestly it’s been a stressful week for me personally, with a lot of work and a lot of tech issues. Is Mercury in Retrograde? Not until next week (Feb. 26) but it sure feels like it. Making this list of 10 things that made me happy lately is always a delight though, so I hope you enjoy it too.

Costumed Figure Drawing with friends
This week my friends hosted a costumed figure drawing workshop in one of their studios, and while I grumbled about leaving the house after dark, it was a much needed filling up of my social cup. I loosened up and just had fun with materials – my favorite pocket brush pen and a sketchbook.
For the Gourmand Girlies
I recently acquired the Sticky Dates body wash, as recommended by Love Island’s Leah Kateb in her scent stack, and I’m obsessed with it. It smells so delicious, sweet and burnt caramel-y without a bitter alcohol undertone. It makes me so happy every time I use it in the shower. If you love gourmand scents, this is also for you.
Pulling a daily tarot card
My current morning ritual includes pulling a card from my new Cottage Magic Tarot to set the tone for the day. It’s a way to check in with myself, see what my intuition guides me to for the meaning of the card. I pay attention to what comes up first for me before looking up the meaning. I also jot them in my planner, and it’s interesting to see the patterns of what I’m pulling – it’s like a little snapshot for the vibe of the month. Don’t have the deck yet? Pull one here.
“Wuthering Heights”
Ok I know this film is incredibly divisive, but as someone who is not familiar with the text and went in cold, I enjoyed the movie for what it is. It’s over-the-top weird and visually rich. The costumes were imaginative and absurd – everything is so extra and unsettling. Look at that giant strawberry! (The Edible Museum made them - watch the behind-the-scenes here). There’s a room made from Margot Robbie’s skin!
Butter molds
Life is heavy lately, so I’ve been trying to add everyday whimsy where I can. I bought these silicon molds a few years ago (a pandemic purchase) and soften butter to room temp, fill these molds, and put them back in the fridge so that my toast can have bow butter. It’s an instant mood lifter.Sezane x Sea NY
I’m in love with this embroidered cardigan from Sezane x Sea NY and bought it for myself after a month of eyeing it, as a reward for doing a hard thing.Alysa Liu’s Free Skate
Figure skating is my favorite Olympic sport, and watching Alysa Liu’s amazing gold medal-winning free skate was so incredible! I love that it was a lesson in truly relaxing into the JOY of what you love, and that made her best performance yet. She earned every bit of that gold medal and it reminds us that if we remembered to just enjoy the process of the work we love, we actually may just do our very best.A New Beauty Staple
Ever have an issue with smudgy eyeliner by the end of the day? I do! And my friend introduced me to these on-the-go make-up remover Q-tips that are a lifesaver. They have a permanent spot in my bag.“Knowing what you’re doing is overrated.”
Great advice from ten of the world’s most renowned artists for young artists (of all ages). Being an artist really is one of the greatest gifts in the world, that we can express ourselves creatively as human beings.
Endless Drawing Ideas
My brilliant friend and fellow Skillshare Top Teacher Esther Nariyoshi created a free illustration prompt generator for artists! Never be stuck for an idea of what to draw. Drawing daily is a life-changing practice to cultivate, especially if you want to be an artist!

I’ve been doing daily tarot pulls this year, too! It’s wild to see patterns emerge. The 6 of Swords won’t leave me be 😳
